Welcome
to the Steve "Boogieman" Hunt's site...
I play
Blues, Boogie, Space, Classic Rock, Jazz, Funk,
psychedelic/Fusion and yep, even Classical Indian Music!
I play mainly Keyboards of all varieties, sizes, shapes,
sounds, and weights. I also play
Guitar, Sitar, Harmonica, and a wide variety of other
wild and crazy instruments and am building a home
recording studio.
I thrive on the group jam and bring all my musical
influences and practice to bear to collectively create
fresh and inspiring live music.
Influences range from Pink Floyd to Yes, Led Zeppelin to
The Grateful Dead, Cat Stevens to Bob Dylan, Professor
Longhair to John Medeski, Dr. Lonnie Smith to Theloneous
Monk, Phish to Galactic, Ravi Shankar to Ali Akhbar
Khan, Steve Smith to Herbie Hancock, Jan Hammer to Jaco
Pastorius, Zakir Hussein to Jean Luc Ponty, Miles Davis
to John Coltrane, Bela Fleck to Deep Purple, Robert
Johnson to Michael Hedges, and so many more.
Steve's played in several bands including

Steve's
most recent band, Jellibone
is on a hiatus and so he is taking the opportunity
to learn more about music at
the jazzschool
whilst he continues earning a keep at Intel
where he designs the worlds
fastest microprocessor chips
and sleeps in the redwood forest of the Santa Cruz
mountains in Zayante, California.
